Rain, rain, go away…pretty, pretty, please.

I’m so sick of this crummy weather. Snow, rain, more snow… I’m itching for some sunshine in Boston.  Not only has this cough pushed back my training schedule, so has the weather. I’m worried I’m falling far behind.

and of course cover letters. Meghann’s post this morning on tips for applying to marketing jobs really got me motivated and eased my worries about my current job search.

Last night, I had a long convo with one of my best friends and sister about my future career options and the numerous directions I can take my English/Journalism degree in. It was great being able to talk out all the possibilities, so Meghann’s words of wisdom came at just the right time.

Morning! Music is a huge factor in keeping my pace up and making long-runs fun. So since I recently started my training for the New Bedford half marathon, I have been searching for some great running music. Ever since I was younger, I have always started my mornings with a cup of coffee and morning music countdowns. Here’s my own little morning segment of choice gym music.

New Year, New Beginnings, New Blog

Hello out there! I’m Michaela. I’ve been reading healthy lifestyle and cooking blogs for years now and finally decided to seriously give blogging a shot. This past summer, I finally took the plunge and started writing  townie goes gownie to record my summer abroad at Oxford.

That’s me in the middle with my Jane Austen class and our sweet professor Clare Connors. Ah this picture makes me want a glass of Pimm’s.

The new year is here and so are many resolutions. Number one on my list this year is to continue blogging.  Unfortunately, when I got back to the States, I lost time for blogging and more importantly a topic. No longer was a student traveling abroad… but a broke college student focusing on my last semester.

This year, I’d like to blog about everything and anything. I hope to share my trial and errors in the kitchen, the ups and downs of training for my first half marathon, and the life of a recent college graduate.

So here we go!
